Specially designed for effectiveness and durability, favored by the Oil & Gas industry. Currently supplied to Petronas Malaysia as a replacement for Absorption Corp, model: 51021, 4″X10′ Mesh Booms.
These absorbent marine booms are for oil spill containment in lakes, estuaries, and sea with very low wave height. They are also used as skimming booms to skim of the sheen of oil form waters’ surface. On land, it is also used to block hydrocarbon flow. Filled with either synthetic or natural cotton fibres, they have high retention and absorption characteristics on polluting oil.
One of the unique characteristics of these booms for heavy duty application is its high tensile netting covering reinforced with a spinal belt. Carabiners are fitted to enable the booms to be connected into a long continuous boom for Oil Spill containment. It’s so strong, you may want to use it as a tow rope!
